Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa (part three)
Conqueror of Shamballa is starting to shift from "weird, but good" to just "weird." Hopefully it bounces back.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury S1E1: "The Witch and the Bride"
I'm not fond of the shonen-adjacent magic high school, at least in its most common form with its usual associated tropes. That would make this story a hard sell for me, regardless of where I found it.
Coming after a prologue that hews much closer to both what I'd expect from a new Gundam series and what I'd WANT from a new Gundam series, makes it a jarringly unpleasant surprise instead of just a hard sell.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa (part two)
We're leaning much harder into the historical fiction aspect than I expected. Frankly, that just makes Edward Elric running around in the middle of the story even weirder and more surreal than it already was.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Conqueror of Shamballa (part one)
I haven't watched the 03 series, and barely know anything about where the plot went toward the end, but like...what could have happened in it that would leave the writers in a place where THIS seemed like a good idea?

Mobile Suit Gundam: the Witch from Mercury S1E0: "Prologue"
This series really, really, really wants to be the 21st century's own UC. Does it succeed at this? I don't know.

Revolutionary Girl Utena S1E12: "Perhaps For Friendship's Sake"
The full power of the sword, with its pseudo-sexual activation method, has synergized with Touga's innate supply of rape energy to create something new and uniquely formidable.

Revolutionary Girl Utena S1E11: "Gracefully Cruel; the One Who Picks the Flower"
Utena, pull out a gun and shoot him, seriously, just Indiana Jones this bullshit.

Revolutionary Girl Utena S1E10: "Nanami's Precious One"
Why is she still on speaking terms with any of these psychos?

Revolutionary Girl Utena S1E9: "The Castle Said to Hold Eternity"
It takes a LOT to actually get kicked out of their school, but attempted murder with multiple witnesses and ample material and medical evidence is enough.

Revolutionary Girl Utena S1E8: "Beware, Nanami-sama!" (continued)
I can enjoy "fever dream" media. These Nanami episodes are like actually having a fever; you have the whacky hallucinatory experience, but you're also coughing, shivering, and sick to your stomach.

Revolutionary Girl Utena S1E7: "Unfulfilled Juri"
She is, indeed, strong. Unfortunately though, she's not strong in that way.

Revolutionary Girl Utena S1E8: "The Great Curry High Trip" (continued)
What the actual fuck did I just watch?
