Metal Gear Rising Revengeance: the Concept Album
Revengeance the concept album is definitely better put together than Revengeance the video game.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (pt. 21)
It's one of those works where I'm not sure if you'll get more out of it by paying close attention and thinking about what it says, or by turning your brain off and just laughing at the funny parts and mashing the "hit robot with sword" button at all the other parts.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (pt. 19)
A perfect figurehead for the vast world of perverse incentives within the military industrial complex.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (pt. 17)
Jetstream Sam might have been a perfectly good antagonist for the game that never got made. It really isn't his fault.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (pt. 16)
Courtney is just shocked at the loud-and-proud psychopathy without even the veneer of philosophical justification or personal trauma. Raiden tells her that it's just as well; there will be zero reason for anyone to shed tears for this guy after what's about to happen to him.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (pt. 15)
I think the entire game should have been like this.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (pt. 14)
I spent an entire mission not wearing this when I could have been wearing this. Why would you ever not make Raiden wear this? How is he supposed to strike terror into the hearts of the remaining Winds of Destruction without it?
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (pt. 13)
I think Monsoon might - in just his very short appearance thus far - have made himself one of my favorite videogame antagonists.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (pt. 12)
Raiden, sometimes it is embarrassing to even play as you.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (part 10)
From what I've heard about the Denver Police Department, this is just a straight-up improvement.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (part 8)
I think Desperado might have gotten into another side business, on top of the black alligators.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (pt. 6)
On one hand, I tried to avoid killing most of the other (trans)human enemies. On the other hand, none of the others tried to sexually assault me with their life stories, so I won't grudge the game for forcing my hand in this case.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (pt. 5)
They're human beings with human lives, game? Really? Really?
