Fullmetal Alchemist Analysis (part one)
I've seen a lot of culture critics describes FMA:B as "flawless," "perfect," and "the best anime ever made." While I strongly disagree with the first two of those assessments, I might just be sold on the third.

Fullmetal Alchemist Analysis (part zero): “Ego”
“Pride.” Hubris. But it also means Ego. And ego also means “Self.”

Zombie Land Saga S1E4: “Warming Dead Saga”
Saki does what I wished someone would do from the second third of the pilot onward.

Zombie Land Saga S1E3: “Dead or Live Saga”
Beach volleyball episode? Beach volleyball episode.

Zombie Land Saga E2: “I <3 Hip Hop Saga”
He tries to get them all excited to save the idol industry, and gets furious at them when none of them care. Girls, please, kill this prick.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood S2E38: “Journey's End”
I'll go into this in the analysis post(s), where I'll explain what I got out of the story, regardless of whether or not it was the author's intent.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood S2E37: "The Other Side of the Gateway"
The nameless child dies as it lived; struggling to escape the object of its desire.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood S2E36: “A Fierce Counterattack”
I could have sworn we already had an episode called that? Back during the Briggs arc, I think? Something very similar at least. Well, regardless!

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood S2E35: “He Who Would Swallow God” (part 2)
Fullmetal Alchemist generally does a good job of managing to be both a cerebral philosophical journey AND a dumb punchy-man shounen series at the same time. Sometimes it leans more heavily in one direction, sometimes in the other. Occasionally, the two things that it's trying to be come into conflict, to the story's detriment.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood S2E35: “He Who Would Swallow God” (part 1)
Pretty sure he already did swallow God, unless the visuals at the end of the previous episode were misleading.

Bakemonogatari E9: “Nadeko Snake, part 1”
You know what someone should do? Do an extensive edit of this show, excising all the pedo shit, as much as possible of the harem shit, and stitching what's left together into some new starting and stopping points for episodes. Release this new cut under a title like "Bakemonogatari, But For Human Beings." It would be a good show. I'd watch it.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood S2E34: “Eye of Heaven, Gateway of Earth”
For all that it hates humanity for creating it, how much more must it loathe its original self? For every second of every minute of every day, for nearly five hundred years, it's known that someone else has what it's lost.

RWBY S6E7: "The Grimm Reaper"
There was ONE point, at the end of "The Coming Storm," where I actually wanted to watch the next episode for its own sake. Where I'd managed to regain some scrap of the investment and goodwill that I first started the series with back in 2017, and was interested to see what would happen next. But, it was short lived.

RWBY S6E6: “Alone In the Woods” (continued)
...the title of the episode is a knock-off of "Alone in the Dark," isn't it? Only without even making sense, because no one is alone in this episode. Just cram in another reference no matter how inappropriate it is. Goddamnit.

RWBY S6E6: “Alone In the Woods”
I was wrong. Completely wrong. Ignore everything I said back there. Never do this.

RWBY S6E5: “The Coming Storm”
It's just bizarre to me that the writers are dogwhistling a romantic arc. I can't even say if I like it or dislike it. It's just too fucking weird for me to assess.
